UPDATE on the Greek CBI program

Allow us to offer an update on the Greek CBI requirements.

Kindly note that these are not yet official, some parameters/requirements might change until the final legislation passes through voting.

Requirement : Investment of 2 million euros.

500k should be the value of your main residence (registered) in Greece.

The main residence cannot be exploited for income.

The remaining required investment of 1.5m must be in the following

- Real estate

- Shares of a UCITS marketed in Greece

(Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities)

- Capital Injection in a Real Estate Investment Company

- Capital Injection in Alternative Investment Funds

- Purchase of Greek Government Bonds

- Purchase of Shares in a Greek Company

* All investments must be held at least for a 5 year period.

Important info:

The applicant must be an adult, and can include his/her family along with his/her application.

Family are considered the spouse, and unwed children under the age of 21 years old.

The public fee for every member included in the application, is 1.000€per person.

The applicants should not have a standing warrant by EUROPOL or INTERPOL.

They should not be or have been (past 12 months) sanctioned by any country member of the EU.

Their estate/assets should not be seized by any country member of the EU.

The applicants should not have been condemned in the past 10 years, nor pending criminal prosecution by any country whatsoever.

The applicants must not pose a threat to the country’s national security.

The threshold of applications has been set to 10.000 and the program shall remain valid till December 31st 2026.
